Rafaela de Campos is a Brazilian-born artist based in Denmark. Her practice unfolds through works on paper, printmaking, collage, textile and sculptural processes, where materials are cut, printed, layered, transferred, stitched and reconstructed into evolving visual structures.

Working intuitively between construction and chance, she develops bodies of work through an ongoing dialogue with paper, fabric, ink, pigment and found materials. Rather than beginning with a fixed image, each work emerges through a physical process of making, where repetition, contact and transformation become methods of discovery.

Fragments migrate from one medium to another - appearing as monotypes, collages, cyanotypes, painted paper constructions, textiles, reliefs and sculptural forms, creating an interconnected visual language that continues to evolve across materials and scale.

Material is approached as an active participant in the work. Surfaces retain traces of pressure, gesture and time, allowing the history of making to remain visible while exploring the relationship between structure, fragility and transformation.

Each work is approached as a construction rather than a composition, an accumulation of gestures, materials and encounters that gradually reveals its own internal logic.
